We live in a three bedroom suburban home in Sunny California.
In the back yard, we have a big patch of green grass surrounded by mature cherry and orange trees, as well as all sorts of shrubs that take turns flowering throughout the year. When we spread out a blanket for a little picnic, there’s no better place to be!
We enjoy walking and jogging around the neighborhood with our dog, Doozer. On Saturday mornings, we stroll to the farmer’s market a few blocks away and load up on fresh fruit, veggies, and, if the mood strikes, a bouquet of flowers.
This is the living room. Daniel likes to spread out on the coffee table with his art supplies, while Christy enjoys reading and writing in her favorite chair by the window. Doozer enjoys retrieving his squeaky ball from under the furniture, unless of course he can’t reach it. Then he quietly whines until we retrieve it for him. =)
Here’s where we sleep, with Doozer close by. Christy’s favorite thing about this room is the window seat. It’s a peaceful little “Thoughtful Spot”.
We also have an office that doubles as a guest room. The daybed is a trundle, so the extra space will make it a great sleepover room someday.
And last, but never least, the nursery. It’s always slowly evolving and improving, but here is what it looks like right now. =)
Our community has great schools, activities, and people. We have lots of friends with small children within a mile or two of home. There are many parks and places to explore nearby, too.
We’re looking forward to sharing our home with a little one someday soon!
