5x7-0005 copy

This time of year, as we celebrate with friends and family, I am constantly reminded of the true beauty of the season. Daniel and I have a testimony of Christ, our Savior. We celebrate and treasure His humble birth, sinless life, selfless sacrifice, and eternal glory.

Daniel and I aren’t perfect people. We made mistakes, just as all do, but we have hope through Christ that we can find forgiveness. We have His example to follow, so that we can keep trying to become better people and of better service to our Father in Heaven.

This photograph is of a nativity that we display in our living room year round. We keep it out because it serves as a reminder to always be grateful and mindful of how blessed we are to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives.

As a gift this season, Daniel and I would like to offer this photograph to all those who would like it. Please leave a comment with your email address before December 23, 2012 by 9pm PST and we will send you a file for a 5×7 copy of this image to print or use online.

We would be grateful if you would share our website, blog, or facebook page with your friends and family. Each share helps to bring us closer to finding the person who will help make our dreams of adopting a child come true.

Blessing to you and yours this Christmas! May your hearts and homes be warm and merry!

We remain your ever hopeful, prospective adoptive parents,

Christy and Daniel

When love takes you in by Steven Curtis Chapman.

Steven Curtis Chapman is a Christian Recording Artist and an Adoption Advocate. He and his wife have welcomed the blessing of adoption into their lives and in 2001 he released an album called Dedication that included the song below called “Love Takes You In”. This beautiful song has been with me for years and years. Listening it to it again today, the second verse caused tears welled up in my eyes and my throat all choked up.

And somewhere while you’re sleeping
Someone else is dreaming too
Counting down the days until
They hold you close and say I love you
And like the rain that falls into the sea
In a moment what has been is lost in what will be

While browsing adoption blogs I stumbled on the SWEETEST blog! And it turns out the author is also a sweetheart, as she agreed to feature us!

Creating While Waiting

Whitney at Creating While Waiting has been on the journey we are now traveling and it led her to her beautiful baby boy, Mason. =)
MasonWhile she was waiting for this handsome little man to show up, she did a lot of sewing, scrapbooking, and working with clay and she blogged all of her amazing projects. Everything she creates is just so colorful and happy. It’s hard not to smile while browsing through them all, especially now that her sweet baby is showing up in her scrapbooking!

I am so inspired by Whitney. Not only does her happily ever after give me hope, but I LOVE how she turned the difficulty of waiting for placement into beautiful projects to share with others.

Clay OwlsTake a look around and show her some love! We’re so grateful to her for helping to share our news! =)
